Change of Season

The rain is back and summer is officially over. I love everything about fall. The cool weather, the smell of leaves, the beauty of changing colours, pumpkins with real whipped cream, holloween, wooly sweaters, scarves.... well, the only draw back is I'm having problem getting up the morning. Anyways, some progress report on knitting...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Jarrett Completed back and front pieces. I haven't abandoned this sweater and it has grown quite significantly since the last post. I am already at 10 inches for the right sleeve. No mistake yet, yay! Looks like someone will have a new sweater for Thanks Giving.

Buttercup Completed back and feft front. This is suppose to be an easy knit but turned out to be a complete disaster. I reworked the back twice and I'm glad I finally made passed that "armhole" decrease. This pattern is definitely not for "knitter with little experience" like Kim said.

Cable Sweater Completed back and front pieces. Remember this fellow? It has been sitting on my bedside table all summer. I'm hoping to finish this before holloween so that I can cast on the seed stitch sweater jacket I posted couple weeks ago.

p/s: Thank you so much for all your tips on the swing coat. That pattern in Phildar is perfect. I love it! I placed an order of the mag right away and now just have to wait patiently for it to arrive. Thanks guys, what would I do without you :)

Everything looks amazing :) I especially love buttercup and your cabled sweater. What pattern are you using for the cabled sweater?

Your Jarret is comming along nicely! I hope to be getting back to mine in about three weeks. Buttercup looks beautiful as well.

Don't cables remind you of crisp fall weather?

Buttercup disaster: you and me both, sister. Though all I have left are the sleeves, I can't bring myself to do them. Though wouldn't it be great if we could finish it and have Ang take some pictures of the two of us in our Buttercups?
The other two sweaters are looking lovely, the Rowanspun especially is so yummy and perfect for fall. Makes me want a cup of hot cocoa right now.

They all look gorgeous, but buttercup is super pretty, even if it is a pain! It certainly doesn't look very simple with that stitch pattern.

the cable sweater looks great, i love the stitch pattern. also like buttercup a lot - you should let kim's website know that the pattern is for a more experienced knitter - i would hope they'd want the feedback!
